I believe in God; his son Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior; and in the Holy Spirit

I believe in family.  I have been married to the same woman for 43 years and helped raise three daughters

I believe in life and that life begins at conception

I believe in being respectful of others and their views

I believe in my country and am fortunate to have served her

I believe in our armed forces and am proud of my service as a member

I believe marriage was instituted for one man and one woman

I believe in the right of the people to be secure in their homes and persons

I believe in individual responsibility.  If I make a mistake, it isn't because I had a bad childhood

I believe in private property rights

I believe in the individual right of a person to keep and bear firearms for the protection of themselves, their families, and their property

I believe in limited government

I believe in a government of the people, by the people, for the people

I believe in equal rights for all, special rights for no one

I believe in the death penalty

I believe in helping those who need help.  Help should come from individuals and faith-based organizations out of the love for our neighbors and only from government as a last resort

I believe in being a good steward of whatever has been given to us

I believe the rights of mankind trump the rights of animals

I believe in holding doors for ladies, taking your hat off in their presence, and standing up when they come in the room.  This is a sign of respect, not chauvinism.
